Terms & Conditions

Shopping Terms | All Birthstone

Birthstone jewellery is often chosen to celebrate a month, a person or a memory. At All Birthstone, we understand that the meaning of a personalised piece matters just as much as how it is made and delivered. This page explains the terms that accompany your purchase, from choosing a design through to receiving it and requesting help afterwards.

Choosing a piece that feels right

We aim to portray our jewellery accurately through the images and information on the website. Most items are handmade, so the piece you receive may differ slightly from the photograph shown. Please bear that in mind when selecting a birthstone design or another personal detail.

Some items are subject to availability. If a selected piece is unavailable, we will notify you before proceeding and try to offer another option, with no obligation on your part to accept it.

In particular cases, including high-value orders and jewellery not generally kept in stock, we may get in touch before commissioning the piece to confirm the details of your requirements.

The amount you pay

We strive to price every item accurately and without hidden extras. Additional charges, such as engraving and postage, are displayed clearly at checkout so you can review the complete price.

If a technical issue or human error leads to an incorrect price, we may cancel an order made at that price. We will refund any money already paid for the cancelled item via the payment method originally used.

Major credit and debit cards are accepted through our secure online payment gateway.

Returns for a change of mind

We want you to be completely happy with your selection. Eligible items can be exchanged under our 14-day exchange policy. If you decide within 14 days that your purchase is not right for you, please email us to arrange an exchange. The item must be unused, in its original condition and returned with the original packaging.

There is an important exception for jewellery created around your personal specifications. We cannot exchange unwanted bespoke pieces, engraved pieces or items returned after the 14-day period. A customised choice is made for you, rather than being an ordinary stock item.

Those restrictions on unwanted items do not prevent a claim relating to a manufacturing fault. We explain the fault process below, and our separate Returns Policy gives further information.

If your jewellery is faulty

We are confident in the quality of the products we supply. Should an item be faulty, return it within 14 days for a refund or exchange. This includes a bespoke or engraved item when there is a manufacturing fault.

If a fault develops during the first 30 days after purchase, contact us by email to arrange a refund or exchange. For a faulty-item refund, please allow up to 30 days for receipt of the refund; for an exchange, allow up to 28 days for the replacement item to arrive.

We recommend using Special Delivery when returning jewellery for your protection. You are normally responsible for return delivery costs, except when an item is faulty or we have supplied it in error.

Our returns policy and guarantee operate in addition to your statutory consumer rights; they do not affect those rights.

Handmaking and delivery

The majority of our jewellery is made to order, and we ask you to allow up to 20 days from ordering for delivery. Our aim is to deliver 90% of orders door to door within one to two weeks of payment.

Making and sending a personalised piece takes several stages. Modelling, cutting, engraving, plating and shipping can all contribute to the total time. Diamond-set or bespoke items require an allowance of four to six weeks for delivery.

If you have an important date in mind, email us to discuss your requirements; we may be able to help with an urgent request. We will send an email notification when your item is received with us. Please contact us with any shipping concerns or questions.

Privacy for personal purchases

Your information is collected for two reasons: to process your order and to provide the best possible customer service. We respect the personal nature of jewellery choices and the contact details you share with us.

Our commitment is to use this information lawfully, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the Web Trader Code of Practice. Details are kept securely on our dedicated server with restricted access, under our internal security policy and the law.

Our databases are not made available to other organisations, and your contact details are not provided to third parties for marketing. We do not send future emails unless you have consented. You may refuse marketing communications or remove yourself from receiving them at any time.

We do not collect sensitive information without explicit consent. We aim to keep the information held about you accurate and current. You can request to check it by email, and inaccurate details will be promptly corrected or deleted.

We may use a cookie or related technology to track patterns of visitor behaviour on the site. A cookie may be stored by your browser; you can usually change your browser settings to prevent that. Information collected this way can identify you unless your browser settings are modified. Please contact us with privacy questions.

Security and keeping a record

The All Birthstone online store is hosted on our own secure dedicated web server with restricted access, rather than sharing server space with numerous other online stores. When the order process is complete, we will immediately send email confirmation and include a full copy of our returns policy and guarantee.

We're here if you need us

Whether your question concerns a personalisation choice, the timing of an important gift or an issue after delivery, please contact us. We want you to understand your options clearly before and after ordering.
