Emerald Necklace, Huge 38.34 Carat Colombian Emerald Pendant Appraised at 11,800.00
In over a decade of dealing in emeralds this is the largest I have ever had. It is absolutely massive for a natural earth mined emerald from Colombia. The majority of emeralds in the 10 carat and up size range are opaque but that certainly isn't the case here as this emerald displays a wonderful translucence. This emerald was mined in Colombia which is well known for producing some of the best quality emeralds in the world. The setting and the 18" necklace are both made of solid sterling silver. We had this pendant appraised by an independant GIA graduate gemologist on June 9th, 2014 with the pendant. The pendant is described as follows:
